Four thousand parts. Half of them titled "BRK-4471-B".
A supplier's product file wrote this catalog, not you. Nobody has ever read most of it, including you.
What breaks in a parts catalog.
None of it looks broken in your admin. All of it costs you.
- Titles that are just the maker's part code
- Nobody searches for that. Even your own store search misses it.
- Specs sitting in a supplier PDF you linked to
- Dimensions, thread size, voltage. The details that decide the sale aren't on the page.
- Part numbers and barcodes left blank
- Google won't list a part it can't identify. It just stops showing it.
- No fitment or compatibility data
- Every buyer asks if it fits theirs. When the page can't say, they buy somewhere else.
- Fifteen near-identical parts, no way to tell them apart
- Wrong size ordered, wrong size returned, and you pay shipping both ways.
- Categories copied from the supplier
- Your filters miss stock you carry, because it's filed the supplier's way.
Common questions
- Our catalog comes from supplier feeds. Does that matter?
- It's the reason to use this. Feeds fill the fields the supplier cares about and leave the rest blank. Nobody can check that by hand. Atlios checks every product each time the feed runs.
- Can it write technical copy without inventing specs?
- It writes from the data already on the product. Anything it can't source, it flags for you to fill in. You review every draft first, because a wrong thread size is a return, not a typo.
- Can it fill in barcodes and specs for us?
- Partly. Atlios looks products up by barcode to fill missing details. It can also fill blank specs from the maker's website. You review each field before it's saved.
- What about fitment and compatibility?
- Atlios flags products with no fitment data and drafts it from what you have. It won't make up a compatibility list, and you shouldn't trust a tool that does.
- We have 40,000 SKUs. Is that too many?
- No. Plans are priced by product count, so a big catalog just means a bigger plan. Over 10,000 products, we quote an Enterprise plan.
- Why do we keep getting Merchant Center rejections?
- Usually a missing barcode (GTIN) or part number (MPN), or stock that doesn't match. The product stays live on your store, and Shopify never mentions it. Atlios compares Google with Shopify and fixes the field that caused it.
