- Why does a vocabulary list matter?
- Because tags pile up without a system behind them. Sweatshirt, sweat shirt, and hoodie become three tags, your own filters miss stock you carry, and customers cannot find things you definitely have.
- What can I put on a list?
- Product types, vendors, tags, and options, plus metafields at product and variant scope. Lock a metafield list to Google's accepted values or to a list you keep yourself.
- What happens when a new value appears?
- It waits in a review queue. Approve it, ignore it, or merge it into a value you already keep. Nothing is added to your vocabulary behind your back, and nothing is deleted either.
- Does the AI have to use my words?
- Yes. Bulk fixes pull from your approved list first, so drafts use your product names and your spellings rather than whatever a model considers standard. Words you never want used stay out.
- Can I turn enforcement off while I build the list?
- Yes, and you should. Build the lists first, review what is already in your catalog, then switch enforcement on when the list reflects reality. Turning it on early just floods your inbox.
